How to Vote in Virginia
Today is the last day to vote in the Virginia Governor Election. Make sure to exercise your right to vote!
Plan to vote in-person?
Sending in a mail-in ballot?
Already have a mail-in ballot? You can still mail-in your ballot today, Election Day. As long as it is received by 12pm 3 days after Election Day it will be counted.
You can also return your mail ballot by placing it in a secure drop box or by delivering it to the local elections office.
*You must obtain a witness to sign your ballot envelope for it to be counted. You can sign up to track your absentee ballot on your Department of Elections website.
Already requested a mail-in ballot but now want to vote in-person?
Those who requested an absentee ballot but end up voting in person: Voters must surrender their absentee ballots before receiving a regular ballot in person.
If you do not bring in your absentee ballot, you will only be able to vote with a Provisional Ballot. Not to worry—the Provisional Ballot will be counted as a normal Ballot after the Electoral Board reviews the pollbook to ensure you did not vote twice.
Do NOT mail in a ballot and vote in person.
