Always Treat Others How You Would Like To Be Treated

“So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you.”
—Matthew 7:12

Sometimes we as Chrisitans need a gentle reminder—treat others the way you would like to be treated. This includes all people, regardless of whether they have or have not vaccinated against COVID-19.

Jesus made it very clear through his example to us that no one deserves to be treated like a leper or societal outcast. Doubts or questioning about the vaccine are not wrong.

And while the Southern Baptists Covention, Pope Francis, and Franklin Graham and others have encouraged Christians to express their pro-life values by vaccinating, each person’s decision needs to be between them and God.

As Christians, we should make sure we are informed about the vaccine and consider how vaccination aligns with our most dear Christian values of protecting the vulnerable and loving our neighbors. And if you are one of the 20% of Americans who have still not been vaccinated, you should prayerfully discern if that is still the right decision.

But regardless of our decision on vaccination, we need to witness Christ’s love and support each other, whatever our decision is.
